Before I Collect Your Laundry 🧺
A few quick things to help everything run smoothly:
Please have your laundry ready for collection in whatever works for you. A laundry basket, hamper, reusable bag, garbage bag or another suitable clean container is perfectly fine.
Please empty all pockets.
I’ll take reasonable care when sorting, but customers are responsible for removing items such as tissues, pens, coins, keys, makeup, electronics and sharp objects before collection.
Let me know about stains or special-care items.
I can provide minor stain treatment where appropriate, but stain removal cannot be guaranteed. Where suitable and weather permits, I may also use natural sunlight as part of the drying or stain-care process.
Care labels will be followed where possible.
Please tell me about anything that must not go into the dryer or requires special handling. Dry-clean-only items are not accepted.
New or colour-running items?
Please let me know if an item is new, has not been washed before, has previously released dye, or needs to be washed separately.
My normal service uses a cold wash with OMO Professional Laundry Powder Fragrance Free for everyday laundry, unless a care label or agreed request requires otherwise. Cold washing can help reduce colour fading and dye transfer, but it cannot guarantee that unstable colours will not run.
Unless you ask for items to be separated, suitable coloured everyday garments may be washed together using my normal cold-wash process.
Undisclosed new or unstable garments can release dye and affect other items. Please tell me about known colour risks so I can take suitable precautions. I will take reasonable care when sorting and washing your laundry. Any concern about colour transfer will be assessed on its circumstances and in accordance with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Tell me about any existing damage.
Loose buttons, tears, damaged zips, worn fabric and similar pre-existing issues can sometimes become more noticeable during normal washing and drying.
Standard turnaround is approximately 24 hours.
Orders over around 25 kg, bulky items, significant ironing or special-care requests may require additional time. I’ll let you know if this applies to your order.
Standard wash, dry & fold is $6/kg, with a $30 minimum order. This is equal to 5 kg.
Pickup and delivery is $10, or FREE for:
- Orders of 20 kg or more
- Weekly repeat customers
A weekly repeat customer uses Little Laundry Goose regularly each week. There is no long-term contract, and an occasional skipped week is fine. Just let me know. If use becomes occasional, the normal $10 delivery fee may apply again.
Need whites and colours separated?
Just ask. I can separate whites, colours, darks, towels, workwear or other groups where practical.
Standard laundry remains $6/kg with the $30 minimum. Each additional machine load created by your separation request is +$5. I’ll confirm the extra charge before washing.
Sensitive wash is available for +$5 per wash.
Blankets and doonas are priced separately and larger bulky items may be processed using larger laundromat machines where appropriate.
Most importantly, if there’s anything unusual about an item or anything you’re unsure about, just tell me at collection. I’m happy to check it before it goes through the wash.
Changing or cancelling a pickup
Need to change or cancel a pickup? Please contact me as soon as possible. Include your name, order number if you have one, and the pickup day. I’ll confirm the cancellation or let you know whether your requested change is available. Call or text 0494 550 187, or email littlelaundrygoose@gmail.com.
